Renee Baker

The focus of my work is Landscape/Wildllife photography with dramatic lighting and subject matter. Capturing moods with lighting and composition, weather and seasons fascinates me. Spending time outdoors caring for our small flock of fiber sheep guides much of my photographic perspective, with the drama and beauty of nature constantly unfolding around me.

I live in Pisgah Forest, North Carolina with my husband on a small fiber sheep farm and have developed my photographic skills in Scotland as well as locally.   I hope to contribute a unique local rural perspective with quality framed photographs of farm life in the Brevard area, including artful photos of Appalachian hand crafting of wool yarn from our sheep.

Renee’s farm adventures have been featured in “Living the Country Life” national magazine and “Our State” magazine.  A Tyndale House Publishing book featuring farm stories and Renee's photography is available for pre-order now on Amazon, entitled "Farmhouse Retreat:  Life-giving Inspiration from a rustic countryside".

We have recently retired from the farm which is now for sale. (see link below)
